Five children have died after getting accidentally trapped in an unused deep freezer in South African’s agricultural town of Kakamas in Northern Cape. The bodies of the children – aged between three and seven – were discovered by their grandmother on Wednesday (20 January).
Police said that the children, who were all cousins, accidentally got locked in the freezer while playing.
“We do not suspect any foul play at this stage. It is believed the kids were playing when the deep freezer accidentally locked,” police spokeswoman Dimakatso Mooi was quoted as saying.
In a similar case earlier this week, four toddlers got trapped inside a disused car in Clermont near Durban. The children got trapped in the car and were unable to escape when the vehicle started to heat up and died in the process.

Sad! How Trusted Neighbour Sold Man’s 3-Year Old Daughter For N20,000 (Photos)
Infact the things we read eh, only God can help us and our family. Since December 22, Godwin Onyeisi has not known peace following the mysterious disappearance of his three-year-old daughter, Success from home.
The minor was allegedly abducted by a neighbour, Emmanuel Okpara, who joined the father to look for the girl, until he was fingered by people who saw him with the child about the time she reportedly went missing.
Success’ disappearance bungled the family’s plan to travel home for the Yuletide and it is threatening the education of her other siblings. Her father, a commercial motorcyclist said he has spent all his savings – about N60,000 – on police investigation and other logistics.
Okpara has been arrested and transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, where he allegedly confessed that he sold the minor for N20,000. But Onyeisi said they do not know who the buyer is or where he lives.
At their Adebumoye Street, Coconut, Apapa, Lagos home, a troubled Onyeisi told The Nation that he initially did not believe that Okpara, whom he has treated like a brother over the years could kidnap his daughter.
“The worst part is that he (Okpara) followed me to all the places I went to in search of my daughter, with the same clothe he wore when he kidnapped her.
“He followed me on my motorcycle to all the palaces of the Baales, all the streets and all the police stations we visited, until people who saw him with her about the time she went missing, told us and the police that he was the kidnapper,” Onyeisi said.
He said he was at work when his wife called him on phone that she could not find their daughter.
His wife, he said, had left the girl, who was watching cartoon at home, to quickly buy some of the things they need to travel to Delta State for the Yuletide.
“My older children went to fetch water at the well in a nearby compound. They went with other children in our yard. So, because we were planning to travel, my wife left Success who was watching cartoon in the room and rushed to the market.
“She was the one who called me that they have been looking for Success and have not seen her. Initially I didn’t really take her seriously because I did not think anyone will want to harm me or my family.
“When I came back and they have not seen her yet, I started going round the neighbourhood asking questions.
“As we were going round to ask people, the Baales were sending messages through town criers that anyone that saw her should come forward with the information.
“For two days, we went round in search of my daughter and my neighbour was with me all through the period. He was wearing the same red T-shirt that people saw him with while he took my daughter away. But he was following me as if he did not know anything about her disappearance.
“From December 23, we started hearing information that he was seen with my daughter, but I did not believe it because Success is very close to him. I have been very good to his family; I even connected my generator to his house to give them light.
“Whenever my daughter is given food, she will take it to eat with him. Once we bath her, she will take her clothe to him to wear for her. She usually slept in their house, so I did not want to believe that he was behind her disappearance.
“But three women later came to our house, among the three was a woman he bought bottled water from while he was with my daughter. So, the woman now said he saw him with my daughter and that after drinking from the water, he gave my daughter to drink and they left.
The Police have launched a manhunt for the buyer and the prophet he allegedly gave the child to.
It was gathered that the woman in whose house the middleman usually slept was nabbed but she was released because she knew nothing about the case.
It was learnt that the middleman gave the child to a chief, who handed her over to his prophet for sacrifice.
All the locations mentioned by Okpara have been visited by the police but they were deserted including two companies at Lekki said to be owned by the yet-to-be identified chief.
The Nation learnt that efforts to nab the suspects have been thwarted by their informants, who have been placed under watch.
“The police are very close to getting them. We will hunt them down soonest. Both the man who bought the girl and the one who took her to the buyer are being hunted, we are very close to getting them and will get them,” the source said.

“I still did not believe what they were saying. I told them to stop lying against him until my wife got angry and went and reported to the police that I was also a suspect. That was how I was arrested with him on December 25 and we slept at the station.“I have spent all my savings on the investigation of this matter. I have been giving the police money so that the case is not slowed down. Now I don’t even have money to pay for the school fees of my other children,” he said.
“He was still denying it, until the women and all those who saw him with my daughter came to the police station and identified him.

“After some days, he confessed that he was the one who took her and that he sold her for N20,000 through somebody else to a man who lives in Okota.
“He said he cannot remember the man and the middle man who took the baby to the buyer usually stayed at a woman’s house here in Coconut.
“I have been going from church to church and they keep telling me that my daughter is alive.
“Okpara should let me know if he has killed my daughter. If my baby is still alive, he should say where she is. How can a man like that kidnap a little girl and since then he doesn’t want to say where she is? Police need to put pressure on him to say where my baby is.

Civilization Has Stolen Our Morals...See Shocking Masturbation Product Found on Nigeria Online Store (Photos)
A new self-pleasuring product I suddenly bumped into on a popular Nigerian online store has left me shocked with my mouth open. I couldn't stop asking myself how far we have embraced civilization and dumped our culture and religious inclination.
I was going through my website working when a google advert from a popular Nigerian online store popped up. I tried checking on some of the new products when my eye caught an erotic product that shocked me.
Only when I thought that most Nigerians are Christains, Muslims and traditionalists whose respective religions condemned sexual perversion like what I had just found out, I was forced to think again.
What is it, you may ask? I found out that what people shop for and use abroad for sexual satisfaction is finally here in Nigeria.
Shaped and designed like a woman's private part, 'My Cocoa Stroker', is a s*ex toy which the manufacturers recommend for men to sexually satisfy themselves without necessarilly being physically with a woman.
S*x toys are so not our culture, but civilisation seems to be importing to us Africans several weird and perverse way of life of the countries of Europe and America.
It is more disheartening that many have already adopted these perverse ways of having sexual intercourse.

Drama as Woman Discovers She Has Been Having S*x with Indentical Twin Brothers
A woman was shocked after a revelation in the court revealed her husband who she has a child with is a twin and she had been sleeping with his brother.
Mere representative photo
A woman in Zimbabwe who filed a lawsuit against her baby daddy for not paying child support, got the shock of her life after he revealed she has been sleeping with his twin brother and not him.
The woman identified as Dungeni from Bulawayo in Zimbabwe, was shocked to learn that she was misled throughout her entire relationship by her lover, Tendai Zimunye.
Tendai who is a soldier also has an identical twin brother named Trust who is also a soldier. Tendai surprised his girlfriend and everyone in court when he announced his twin brother was the father of the child she was suing him over. He told the court that he had been served with a summons to appear in court rather than his twin brother, who is named Trust Zimunye.
Dungeni told the court that she never knew that the man with whom she was in a relationship had a twin brother. Magistrate Adelaide Mbeure ordered both men to appear in court where it was then determined that Trust was indeed the father.
Trust, who had apparently used his brother’s name when dating Dungeni, told the court that he was already paying child support for two other children.
He told the court that he is paying $200 to his former wife for his son and $100 for his daughter with a former girlfriend.
“I’m surviving on debt, I can only offer $50 a month to Dungeni,” he said. The judge agreed and ordered him to pay $50 a month for child support.

Omg! See What this Lady Was Spotted Doing on a Motorbike in Lagos (Photo)
The hustle in Lagos is real and this picture speaks volume of the struggle to cut cost of living and make ends meet in the highly populated state.
The lady in question
This lady set aside her own safety by putting her life on the line just in a bid to "kill many birds with one stone"
She could have entered a bus. Not considering the fact that any unlikely movement from the motorcyclist could see her land on her back thereby injuring herself in the process (or even kill her).
This woman was spotted recently in Lagos.
Terrible Accident on Ore Road Claims Lives of 2 Corpers, 3 Others (Graphic Photos)
A netizen currently undergoing his National Youth Service Corp programme in the Eastern part of Nigeria who survived a fatal road crash has given a vivid account of how the heartbreaking experience played out.
The accident scene
Read the story of the social media user below:
My name is Abati Lekan, a graduate of Osun State University. I am a corp member serving at Abia State. I had an accident on my way to Aba (my place of ppa) along Ore road last week Tuesday (O5/01/2016).
My name is Abati Lekan, a graduate of Osun State University. I am a corp member serving at Abia State. I had an accident on my way to Aba (my place of ppa) along Ore road last week Tuesday (O5/01/2016).
On that fateful morning, prior to the accident, the driver made up his mind that didn’t want to drive the bus again, because he had a disagreement with his company ‘OHLOMA LINE’ (Abule-Egba), Lagos State about logistics and loading fees. After a while, they reached an agreement with the driver, so we kick-started our journey some minutes after 8am.
When we got to the normal stop-over at Ore Park, Ondo state. I approached him and told him that “Oga nawa oo, u no want stop for us before abi”, all he responded was “Wetin I do?” He then frowned and left my sight, even before then, he was driving like someone who knew he was going to die that particular day, with his indecent driving. Four minutes after we had all eased ourselves, we continued our journey.
As we were approaching Benin, I told the person seated next to me that I was scared, that the driver was making me restless. Not long after that, a jeep ran hit us hard, the jeep was said to be approaching Ore, as explained by Road Safety Officials. They explained that the driver slept off so he unconsciously swinged from his lane to our own lane.
All I knew was a vehicle hit us hard, and all I heard was ‘Gbaaah!!!’ When I woke up everywhere was dark, it was like I was dreaming, I couldn’t help myself out, three people were on me, I couldn’t breathe easily, and I was crying and shouting repeatedly for an helper, not even knowing two of those three people ontop of me were lifeless..
The breath I was breathing out was the same I was breathing in, it was a very tough decision to make, whether to give up fighting for breath or not. Then I began to shake my leg continually, someone outside noticed the bus was shaking, so he had to break the rear glass and pulled me out.
When I eventually got out of the vehicle, I then realised it wasn’t a dream, we had lost 5 people in the bus, including the driver, the person sitted next to him, we also lost a corper at that spot and two beautiful children lying lifeless in the gutter.
I began to cry, i couldn’t hold my emotions, and couldn’t believe my eyes still. On Thursday (06/01/16) three people were again confirmed dead (We lost another corp member, making it two dead corp members). It was really a terrible experience for me, but God brought me out alive, I should have shared this before now, but I was just discharged at the hospital.

Tragic! Young Nigerian Girl Who Just Bagged 1st and 2nd UK Degrees Dies in Horrible Car Accident in Lagos (Photos)
A beautiful Nigerian girl who was considered a really promising and outstanding lady has had a most devastating tragedy befall her.
Doyin Sarah Fagbenro
Doyin Sarah Fagbenro, the beautiful 25 year old Nigerian girl who recently completed her first and second degrees in Law in the UK and relocated back to Nigeria after spending most of her life there, died in a fatal accident along Lekki-Epe expressway in Lagos which was caused by a reckless Danfo driver.
Her cousin, Ken Davidson, took to his Facebook page to pay her a heartfelt tribute. It's such a sad read.
Her cousin, Ken Davidson, took to his Facebook page to pay her a heartfelt tribute. It's such a sad read.
He wrote: "Tribute To A Shining Starlet. Oh death! Where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Another Casualty of a broken and failed State. Your story is particularly Gut Wrenching as it is equally heartbreaking.
You spent near enough all but two of your 25 years on earth in the Country of your Birth, the United Kingdom where your Parents and entire family reside. You were born, bred and educated in the United Kingdom. But two years ago, immediately after you graduated, you elected to visit Nigeria where your Grandparents reside - both of whom are in their Mid Eighties.
You signed up for the National Youth Service having freshly graduated with a sterling First Degree in Law and a Post Grad immediately afterwards. You were headhunted by an Energy Firm before you completed your NYSC and a presto you gallantly announced to your Nervous Parents - Dad a Diplomat with the United Nations based in Italy and Mum a Pharmacist based in the United Kingdom, your country of Birth - that you were going to permanently relocate and make Nigeria your permanent abode. Your Grandparents were ecstatic, you being their most favourite Grand Daughter.
You were a straight A student right from when you passed your GCSEs through to when you excelled in your A'levels...so much so that Prestigious Queen Mary's London University snapped you to study Law. You missed a First by whisker's. Nevertheless you made your mark all the way through. Then it all came crashing down.
What was supposed to be a routine journey to Church on a relatively sombre, otherwise uneventful Sunday morning on the Lekki/Ajah Expressway around the Lekki Phase 1 approach turned into a living and eternal nightmare for those of us left struggling to pick up the pieces. Our lives changed forever, never to be the same again.
A victim of the reckless and probably high on drinks/drugs 'Danfo' Driver. The most galling of the entire episode was the fact that the driver of that Danfo survived unscathed, RAN away from the scene leaving a trail of Death and Destruction in his wake. Four people died at the scene. Your New Toyota Corolla was a crumpled wreck. But the Fighter that you were, despite massive injuries, you fought and fought and fought.
Your Dad, via his status at the United Nations, got you into Lagoon Hospital where you were for a few days. When it became clear that the extent of your injuries was too severe for the local facilities here in Nigeria, An Air Ambulance was scrambled from the United Kingdom to get you much needed Specialist Care in the United Kingdom. Your tireless mum who flew in from the United Kingdom, barely 48 hours after the accident, accompanied you in the Air Ambulance. Still we Prayed and Prayed and Hoped for the Best.
Sadly We lost you a day after you arrived in the United Kingdom. The Surgeons tried desperately. You fought desperately to hang on. But in the end, it was not to be. The pain is palpably raw as it is numbling. We asked again and again, Why you? Why You? If only you had stayed on in the country of your Birth, If only...so many questions but very few answers. Your Parents, Your Grandparents, Oh! Your Grandma, with whom you celebrated her 80th Birthday over here in Nigeria a few years ago has refused to eat since she was informed of your passing nearly a week ago...All she repeatedly does is wail, wail to space "God Take Me instead, Give My Granddaughter back to Nigeria. Nigeria Needs Her, Her Parents Need her. God Take me. God Take Me.".
These are indeed extremely perilous times. And so it was that having just spent barely a few weeks in Nigeria after a prolonged Winter holiday and Christmas in the United Kingdom with family and friends, I now find myself in the rather unenviable position of scrambling for the next flight out back to the United Kingdom just so that I can attend your Funeral this weekend. Someone retorted to me "Oh, you know, 'our tradition' forbids older relatives attending and being present at funerals where the deceased is much younger than us..." I snapped back, which tradition? And what has tradition ever done for us? What did Tradition ever give to HER?
I am here like a Zombie, mechanically and circuitously packing a few items for my flight out in the morning. The Family has decided that yours would be a Celebratory Sending Forth, so RED rather than the traditional Grey, Black would be the colour to be worn on the Day. DSF as you were very fondly called, you touched so many lives in the quarter century, (twenty five years only!) you ran your race on earth.
You were considerate to the end so much so that you waited until you got back home - nearer your parents and many siblings - before you finally bade the World Farewell. Doyin Sarah Fagbenro, My Learned Friend in the Profession, My lil Sister, My Cousin, Sleep Well till we meet again. O Death! Where is Thy Sting!"
Check Out 5 Most Handsome Nigerian Presidents Since 1960 (Photos)
Nigerians are generally good-looking people, and our leaders are not an exemption to that, hence the very handsome men who have ruled the country at one time or the other.
Since Nigeria got her independence in 1960, at least 13 men have ruled the country both as civilian and as military leaders. A writer has however made a list of good looking Nigerian leaders since the state gained autonomy.
There are some Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who have stood shoulder high above their peers in terms of natural characteristics. A few of them are alive, while some are late.
See the list:
1. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida
1. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida
The Minna state General was the admiration of many people even the Western world while he was the military Head of State. He had a way of getting along with everybody. He was a very handsome man. He also had tooth-gap like Muhammadu Buhari. He piloted the affairs of Nigeria from 1985 to 1993 before he stepped down and handed power over to an interim government.
2. Yakubu Gowon
He is still the youngest person ever to rule Nigeria up to this present moment. The Plateau state general became the Head of State at 32 years of age. He has a dark chocolate complexion. He ruled from 1966 to 1975. He was at the helms of affairs of the nation during the Nigerian Civil war from 1967 to 1970.

The 2-time governor of Katsina state between 1999 and 2007 died before he could complete his first term presidency. He was the country’s number one citizen from 2007 to 2010.
Yar’Adua was without doubt one of the most handsome Nigerian presidents in the history of the country. He died as a result of heart-related disease.

While he was the military ruler of Nigeria between 1983 and 1985, he was one of the most handsome military chiefs around. He was tall, lanky and had an aquiline nose. His physique was unique among his peers. He was a charming Fulani man.

President Buhari posing with the U-17 champions in 1985
The victorious Golden Eaglets team who emerged victorious at the FIFA U-17 tournament in China 30 years ago, was on Thursday rewarded by President Muhammadu Buhari with a cash gift of N2 million to each player, while their coaches were given N1.5 million each.
The team won the trophy in 1985, when Buhari was military Head of State, and he reportedly promised to honour the team for its victory. However his tenure was cut short by a military coup, thereby making it impossible for him to fulfill his promise.
The president today in Abuja, thanked God for keeping him alive to fulfill his promise to the team at a reception to honour the team and other victorious Nigerian athletes in recent competitions.
President Buari said the reward given to them was not payment for their services to the country but a 'token of appreciation.'

Read the Popular Story of the Pastor Eaten by Lions in Ibadan After He Invaded their Den by Faith (Photo)
A man of God in the ancient city of Ibadan once stormed the lion's den under the inspiration of the biblical Daniel's story and ended up being eaten alive by the wild animal.
The remains of Pastor Abodunrin after the lion's attack
The city of Ibadan in Oyo State, southwestern Nigeria is one of the largest in West Africa. It is home to the first university in Nigeria, University of Ibadan, established by the colonial masters in 1948. One of the most famous features of this great citadel of learning is its Zoological Garden, which is one of the oldest in the country.
The zoo plays host to various animals but the most legendary of them all are the lions. For many visitors, a trip to the famed zoo is not complete without seeing the majestic lions. So it was during the Easter Lenten season of 1991, all of Ibadan was buzzing with excitement of the season and naturally, one of the prime spots of attraction for many families was the University of Ibadan Zoo. Families, couples and tourists trooped into the zoo that fateful day.
However, unknown to all of the other visitors, there was one particular visitor who had another sinister agenda. Bishop (some referred to him as a pastor or a bishop) ‘Daniel’ Abodunrin’s intention that fateful day was not to see the lions and take some memorable pictures with them.
His goal was to demonstrate something that had never been done before. His plan was to replicate what was written in the Holy Bible thousands of years ago. It was the story of a Jewish boy in Jerusalem named Daniel who was captured by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who served in the king’s court until the time of Cyrus, the Persian emperor.
ENTERING THE DEN OF THE LIONS
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” – Genesis 1:26
Fast forward to 1991 AD. Location: Ibadan. A pastor in West Africa attempts to recreate what was narrated in the sixth chapter of the Book of Daniel. Pastor Abodunrin donned a flowing red robe and clutched his big Holy Bible. As he made his way for the lion enclosure, alarmed zoo keepers shouted and warned him (some other records stated that he sneaked in and it all happened very fast while another version has it that he managed to convince one of the zoo keepers to allow him enter and let God demonstrate signs and wonders saying that the God of Daniel is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow).
One thing was clear: Abodunrin did not listen to any of those warning him. Terrified families who were enjoying their picnic looked on with a bewildering mixture of shock and terror, screams rented the serene atmosphere of the zoo but Abodunrin was just chanting Bible verses at the top of his voice and speaking in tongues. He made it into the enclosure of the lions and stared at them. The lions stared back at him. It was a most discomforting sight for everyone, including the lions. An exchange of death stares and at a point, a deafening silence fell over the whole place. It was all like a movie. Devout Christians in the crowd were waiting to see a faith-enhancing miracle while some others toughened their minds for the bloodiest drama of the century.

Devout Christians in the crowd were waiting to see a faith-enhancing miracle while some others toughened their minds for the bloodiest drama of the century.
Driven by the zeal and passion of religion and with the utmost belief that he would be save by the Holy Spirit or that the angels will paralyze the lions as they did for Daniel, Abodunrin did not stop chanting Bible verses and speaking in tongues, wriggling his body under the robes, providing what was the spectacle of the year for everyone in the zoo. A crowd had gathered. But inside the den of the lions, something interesting was going on with the Nigerian Daniel and the feline beasts. As Abodunrin approached them, the big cats retreated and moved towards a corner of their cage, that was their instinct. They withdrew from the marauding ‘man of God’.
At that moment, everyone was watching the entire drama as if it was a dream. Here was a man in a flowing red robe, armed with nothing but a large Bible, approaching some of the fiercest creatures on earth. When Abodunrin jumped into the lions’ cage, the lions moved into a tense retreat. Abodunrin stepped closer.
He seemed determined to cow the lions and turn them into goats. He felt he possessed all the heavenly authority and spiritual powers to summon angels to weaken the lions. The only way to paralyze a lion in an instant is to use a tranquilizer dart, which is just common sense. But the prophet felt things in the physical world are controlled in the realm of the spirits and there was no need for any tranquilizer dart, he would use his copy of the Bible as a sedative for the lions. He brushed off those who warned him of an imminent death that they had carnal minds and could not understand things of the spirit. Rational people in the audience looked on in horror as it looked like a feast was ready.
He might have mistaken the retreat of the lions for a sign of weakness or that the angels were actually working their wonders already. Like a deranged mind, Abodunrin kept chanting Bible verses, making gestures at the lions and commanding them to be still. He was calling on the God of Daniel who saved the prophet in Babylon to show awesome power. As he made a final approach towards the lions, what happened next was…
“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.
– Isaiah 54:17
In a flash, the lions lifted their massive bodies and charged at Abodunrin. The Bible flew away and he landed with a thud. A bitter struggle ensued and the terrified crowd could not believe the scene before their eyes. It seemed everyone was too confused or fixated to even do anything.

Pastor Abodunrin could not believe his eyes and as the lions landed on him, the look of terror in his eyes could only be better imagined. In a matter of seconds, he was torn to shreds. He died on the spot and the lions snacked on his remains. A single, well-aimed bite from a lion is enough to kill an adult human being in a matter of seconds. Abodunrin’s red robe was redder with the splatter of his blood all over the place, his torn and bloodied Bible in one corner of the lions’ cage
What remained of the audacious preacher was later recovered and you can see it in the photo. Today, many preachers across the globe have made attempts to recreate the narrated stories and miracles of the Bible but they have ended disastrously, from the pastor who drowned while trying to walk on water to another pastor who entered a lion’s den in Taiwan only to be wounded after shouting to the lions: ‘Jesus would save you!’. Nigerians have to learn to embrace rational thinking instead of beclouding their senses with religious ideologies that will only end in sorrow and offer nothing of value to humanity.

When ebola disease broke out in Nigeria, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo angered not a few Nigerians when he said that even if people drank ebola virus, nothing would happen to them because they were children of God.
THE AFTERMATH
In an instant, the story was all over the country that a pastor who entered the lion’s den was mauled to death and consumed by the beasts. Many could not believe their ears. However, there were some Christians who actually believe that the pastor was a true man of God and that the lions were actually possessed by demons to have attacked the anointed ‘man of God’. This set of Christians were enraged and demanded that the lions be killed.
At this point, I will make reference to the experience of a journalist from that era, someone who actually had the experience of the saga, Akeem Soboyode, he wrote of the incident in July 2004:
About a year later, I also had cause to comment on the sad and tragic escapade of a pastor who deliberately sneaked into the lion’s den at the University of Ibadan zoo and was mauled to death by a lion. Despite my growing reservation then regarding issues of religion, my interest in writing an article on that issue came primarily from the fact that I am a proud alumnus of the university and paid many visits to that zoo while I was a student there. Immediately after the tragic event, many suggested that the lion be put to death.
I argued in my article, also published in the PUNCH, that the lion was a beast, not a rational being as one would expect its victim to be. That was the way nature programmed it to react to such an event, and the unthinking “Daniel” should have known better. I don’t recall if the lion was eventually destroyed, but I do remember that after the article was published, one of my Christian friends made a comment along these lines: “Akeem, don’t you know the lion must have been possessed to have killed the pastor? Why should it deserve to live?”

Oh My! Kirk Franklin's Touching Tribute to Wife on Their 20th Anniversary Will Make Your Eyes Water
International gospel singing sensation, Kirk Franklin, has written a really touching tribute to his wife of 20 years as they celebrate their anniversary.
Kirk Franklin and Tammy Collins
Kirk Franklin took to Instagram to pen down the loveliest message to his wife, Tammy Collins, as they marked their 20th wedding anniversary, Yesterday, January 20.
The highly acclaimed singer who married his heart throb in 1996, shared a throwback photo of themselves on their wedding day and accompanied it with a touching tribute to her.
See what he posted below:
He wrote:
Can I take my time?!
Get past the jacket, the shoulder pads, and the grill before retainers! Today I celebrate 20 years with this woman! We were young, I was dumb, she came from a good family, I had NO family, but she was patient; not stupid. A prime example of how a good woman can change a man without breaking him down. My past was sketchy...she knew that. She didn't compromise her standard but helped me reach it. Every song you've heard over the last 20 years, she wrote it. She was every lyric, every key change spelled her name. We've seen dark days together, but we saw them, TOGETHER. Men can be dumb at times, and want what's newer, fresher, or what our other "head" thinks is better... But to fail Tammy, is to fail God. To cheat on tammy is to cheat on the kingdom, my children, and even you... Those who trust me to chase Christ with everything I got. I'm not perfect, but I'm still in love...with Tammy.
Happy 20th anniversary baby! (See bae I did it without saying something nasty!
The Story of this Dead Nigerian Soldier Killed by Boko Haram will Break Your Heart (Photo)
A man named Ikem Ohuku has recounted how he lost a relative who was a Nigerian soldier to the Boko Haram onslaught that has claimed over 17,000 Nigerians since 2009.
The late Uchenna Agbo
Read the touching short story by Ikem Ohuku who lost his loved one to the inadequate weapons provisions by the Nigerian army in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency:
This young man pictured above was a third cousin of mine.
His name, Uchenna Agbo.
His friends called him EPELINGO.
After secondary school, he elected to serve in the army.
He was posted to fight Boko Haram in Borno State.
Epelingo had no access to sophisticated weapons.
But he kept telling our people he was committed to fighting the war till it ends.
At the time, Olisa Metuh and Dasuki plus Anenih and Jim Nwobodo et al, were sharing the money voted to equip him so he can succeed in liberating that beleaguered corner of his fatherland.

One day, his troop was overwhelmed by the superior firepower of Boko Haram.
Uchenna died.
His ageing mother is still mourning.
So is his only brother, Nnaemeka and a host of us who are his relations.
But Olisa Metuh is alive and well.
Fighting for how he is going to NOT pay his share of the blood money.

I used to chat with Uchenna at least once a week on Facebook.
I will never get to do that.
You see why I am angry?
I will give 5000 handcuffs to have this my brother back!!!!!

Prophet T.B Joshua's Daughter Reveals Shocking Details About Her Dad
The older daughter of popular pastor of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, T.B. Joshua is spilling some unknown details about her father.
Synagogue Pastor, TB Joshua
Sarah Joshua, daughter of the Head Pastor of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, recently granted an interview with Encomium Magazine where she revealed some unknown facts about her popular dad.
Sarah, who was called to bar in Abuja, was also listed among those who will be called to bar in New York in January, 2016.
Speaking with the magazine about her latest feat, Sarah said: "I am grateful to God, my family and friends who have been of help to me. I am humbled and privileged to have succeeded. Thus, I am very happy."
When asked about how she feels about being the first daughter of Prophet T.B Joshua, she answered: "I am privileged and fortunate to be the daughter of such a humble and great man of God called TB Joshua. He is someone I look up to because my father is a man of God and he has been able to guide me every time I need him.
"I am too happy, so humble to be his daughter. He has been a good guide. Thus I can’t afford to disappoint him and God because to whom much is given, much is expected. And I love him."
T.B Joshua's daughter, Sarah
Revealing more details about her father, Sarah said: "He is a true example of humility. I have seen so many attributes in him that is worthy to emulate."
"He is the best father everybody can pray to have. I am not just saying that because he is my father but because it’s the truth. Also, it’s not what I think about him or what people think about him that count but what God says about him."
Some people do not understand him. They even have wrong impression about him, what’s your take on that? She quizzed.
"That’s why I said he is a true man of God and it’s not what people say that count but what God says. Everybody has the right to air his opinion but God’s opinion counts most."
Speaking on her success and her father's reaction to that, she said: "He was very happy and proud of me. I am always happy whenever he is proud of me. He has given me so much and I feel I have a lot to offer and can’t disappoint him."
Fresh Drama Emerges in $2bn Arms Deal As Dasuki Sues FG To ECOWAS Court
The embattled ex- National Security Adviser, Dasuki Sambo has dragged the Federal government to court and has demanded a massive amount in damages.
Former NSA, Dasuki Sambo
Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (retd), has filed a suit against the federal government before the ECOWAS Court in Abuja over his continued detention.
Dasuki, in the suit filed by his lawyer, Robert Emukpoeruo, wants the court to declare among others, that his continued detention after being granted bail by three different courts and met the conditions for his release, was “unlawful, arbitrary and an egregious violation” of his human rights.
The former NSA is demanding that the sum of N500 million damages be paid for alleged rights infringement, Daily Sun reports.
Also, the former NSA wants the sub-regional court to declare that the alleged invasion of his privacy, home and correspondence at his Abuja and Sokoto residences on July 16 and 17, 2015 and the “forceful and unlawful seizure” of his properties, “without any lawful order or warrant” constituted a gross violation of his fundamental rights and offended the country’s treaty obligations as a signatory to the listed legal instruments.
Dasuki is also urging the ECOWAS court to order his release forthwith.
This is even as a Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday ordered the federal government to produce him by February 16, the next adjournment date. Justice Ademola Adeniyi in his order said the court has not excused his absence and that Dasuki must be physically present to face the criminal charges against him.
Dasuki was arrested last November for allegedly diverting the $2.1billion meant to aid in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency in the north east.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is currently probing the $2.1 billion arms contract scandal involving Dasuki. So far, over 20 prominent Nigerians and politicians have been implicated in the arms deal scandal.
#Dasukigate: EFCC Returns Olisa Metuh to Court Again in Handcuffs - See Details
Olisa Metuh has been re-arraigned in court after being granted bail as the anti-graft agency files for more charges against the opposition's scribe.
Olisa Metuh at today's appearance in court
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to slam fresh charges on the spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, less than 48 hours after the Federal High Court, Abuja, granted him bail over a seven-count charge of corruption according to Premium Times.
The EFCC drove the embattled politician into the premises of the FCT High Court on Thursday morning, preparatory to slamming fresh charges on him. Like on Tuesday, Mr. Metuh was in handcuffs again when he was brought into the court.
The handcuffs were later removed as he waited to be taken before a judge. Details of the new charges are unclear at this time, but the anti-graft commission had on January 12 accused Mr. Metuh of shredding a confessional statement he made to its operatives, indicating it would charge him separately for attempting to destroy a major evidence in the case against him.
“The tearing of statement is tantamount to willful destruction of government property and it is a serious offence,” the official had told this newspaper at the time. “Also the fact that he obstructed operatives from performing their job is also a criminal offence. We will explore the possibility of filling a separate charge against him at the Federal Capital Territory High Court.”
In the original case, Mr. Metuh is facing a seven-count charge of corruption. He is accused of receiving N400 million from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. The amount is part of the allegedly diverted sum of $2.1 billion meant for the purchase of arms.
On Tuesday, Justice Okon Abang granted him bail.
To regain his freedom, however, Mr. Metuh, Justice Abang said, must deposit N400 million bail bond – same amount he is accused of illegally receiving; two sureties who must have properties in Maitama area of Abuja, and who must also deposit N200 million each.
It is unclear whether Mr. Metuh has so far met his bail conditions.

His firm, Destra Investment Limited, was also charged before the court over alleged N400 million fraud involving the Office of the National Security Adviser.
According to the EFCC, Metuh had in November 2014, collected N400 million from the erstwhile National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd).
The fund which was withdrawn from an account the Office of the NSA operated with the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, was allegedly transferred to Metuh through account no. 0040437573 which Destra Investments Limited operated with Diamond Bank Plc.
EFCC insisted that whereas the fund was earmarked for campaign activities of the PDP, it said that Metuh diverted most of it to his personal use.
According to Vanguard, it alleged that Metuh converted part of the money to $1 million which he used for his personal business.
Besides, Metuh was alleged to have transferred N21.7 million to another chieftain of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih.
However, Metuh pleaded for bail from the court which counsel to the EFCC objected. The application which he filed through his team of lawyers, comprising four Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SANs, was predicated on provisions of sections 35 and 36 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, as well as sections 156, 162 and 165 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
His lead counsel, Chief Chris Uche, SAN, who argued the application, yesterday, urged the court to grant his client bail on self recognition.
Insisting that allegations leveled against Metuh are ordinarily bailable, Uche told the court that his client voluntarily submitted himself to the EFCC.
Uche maintained that his client had every opportunity to escape from the country prior to the time he was invited by the anti-graft agency, but refused to do so.
Besides, he drew the attention of the court to the fact that the former NSA, Dasuki, and other persons also facing similar charges by the EFCC have all secured bail from different courts.
EFCC opposed the bail application saying he has the capacity to interfere with ongoing investigations against him.
The prosecuting counsel, Mr. Sylvanus Tahir, who is the Assistant Director, Legal & Prosecution Department of the EFCC, told the court that Metuh attacked operatives of the agency and tore pages of his statement.
He urged the court to consider the criminal nature of the charge which he said attracts a maximum sentence of seven years imprisonment upon conviction and deny the accused person bail.
After listening to all the parties, yesterday, Justice Abang, in a bench ruling, said he was favourably disposed to granting bail to the accused person.
The judge who agreed with Metuh’s lawyer that the offences are bailable, said the EFCC could not establish its allegation that the accused person destroyed his statement.
“To hold the view that the accused person, if released on bail, will act in the same manner is speculative. The court does not act on speculation. The alleged conduct of the defendant while in custody of the EFCC cannot be a factor to be considered in refusing his application for bail,” the Judge held.
He said the paramount thing was for the court to impose conditions that would compel the attendance of the accused for trial, saying he is in the eyes of the law presumed innocent until proved guilty.
Consequently, Justice Abang ordered Metuh to produce two sureties who must deposit the sum of N200 million each. He maintained that the sureties must not only be residents of Abuja, but also owners of landed property within the Maitama district of the FCT. They are to submit the Certificates of Occupancy of the property to the Chief Registrar of the court for verification, as well as submit their three years tax clearance.
According to the court, the sureties must swear to an affidavit of means and also submit two recent passport photographs. More so, Justice Abang ordered Metuh to surrender his international passport to the Chief Registrar of the high court.
He directed that the prosecution should within 24 hours upon receiving notification that the accused has perfected the conditions, personally conduct a verification with a view to ensuring that all the terms were duly perfected.
However, the court, yesterday, declined Metuh’s prayer for it to restrain the EFCC from re-arresting him upon fulfillment of the conditions. While adjourning the full-blown hearing on the matter till January 25, the judge asked the EFCC to summon its witnesses to be prepared for trial.
