Two Married Nollywood Actresses Fight Dirty Allegedly Over Married Actor (Photos)

Two married Nollywood actresses showcased their dirty linens in public as they fought dirty over another married actor.
Yoruba actress, Kemi Afolabi

The dirty fight between two top actresses, Seyi Ariyo (She Baby) and Kemi Afolabi is yet to be resolved despite the intervention of star actor and President of The Golden Movie Ambassadors of Nigeria (TMAN), Saidi Balogun, encomium.ng can reveal authoritatively.

In a chat with She Baby on Thursday, March 24,2016,the actress cum singer expressed bitterness over the issue. She added that Afolabi is a blatant liar, urging the public to ignore her submission on the feud that ensued between herself and the latter.

Narrating her side of the story, the Oloso singer, as She Baby is also known said, ”I had a movie shoot recently, and Kemi Afolabi happened to be one of the actors I used. She ought to come 10 am, but she got to the location 5 pm. She had just three scenes with us, and I paid her fully already for her role. I was angry she already disrupted part of what we intended using her for because she didn’t come as scheduled. But was persuaded by my director to change her role which she finished around 10 pm.

“I lent her my clothes in the course of the shooting. She now held on to the clothes as a bait, insisting I must pay for her accommodation which wasn’t in our budget. If she had come earlier as agreed, she would have been released in time because it’s just three scenes.

“Kemi now held on to my clothes for about two months. All efforts to get her on phone proved abortive. She wouldn’t reply all my messages neither would she pick my calls. After what seems like eternity, because we ain’t that close, I was feeling uncomfortable leaving the clothes with her. I decided to call her friend, Sikiratu Sindodo and reported Kemi to her. And Sindodo persuaded me that it will be settled.

“Until I called Kemi, and she yelled at me. And she was angry that I reported her. She now insisted she won’t give me the clothes until I pay for the said hotel room which wasn’t in our contract. All further efforts to get the clothes proved difficult, and I was angry. I later wrote on my PM about the clothes and Saidi Balogun intervened. And I pulled it down immediately. Later, Saidi went to get the clothes from her.

"But the truth of the matter is that I can’t put the clothes on again. That’s all. And she went on her Instagram page, writing all sorts of things to attract public pity. Kemi Afolabi is a blatant liar”.

On alleged romance with Odunlade Adekola which was reported to be the main reason for the dirty fight, she quickly refuted,”Dating Odun? That’s rubbish. What’s my business with Odun? Everybody knows it’s Kemi who is dating Odun. So, why can we be fighting over Odunlade? I am happily married to cry it aloud”.

Seyi Ariyo (She Baby)

Encomium.ng also got across to Afolabi on Saturday,March 26,2016, and she reacted,” I don’t want to make any further comment on the issue. I am too busy for that. I have a lot things I am doing now. So, I can’t be talking on any trivial issue of such. She Baby is the one looking for cheap publicity.

“She is a producer, I am an actor. I was on her location and she refused to pay for my hotel accommodation. And it’s true I had her clothes with me in my car, but I told her to pay for my hotel which she refused. Anyway, I have responded on my Instagram page. You can check details about the whole thing.”

Asked to shed light on her rumoured romance with Odunlade Adekola, which allegedly, was the cause of the rancour between herself and She Baby, and she reacted, ”That’s not true. I am a married woman, how can I be fighting over a married man? Odunlade Adekola is also married. You should know it’s just a fiction. I am not dating Odunlade Adekola.”

Shock as Pretty Teacher is Arrested While Trying to Have S*x With 14-year-old Pupil in Hotel Room (Photo)

A very pretty teacher has been arrested by the police after she lured a 14-year-old pupil to a hotel room for s*x.
Yaira Cotto Flores was arrested after luring the teen to a hotel room

A pretty teacher has been arrested after she tried to have s*x with a 14-year-old boy. The arrest of Yaira Cotto Flores, 26, has shocked the small community she lives in when they heard she had been taken into custody by police, Dailystar reports.

According to investigators, on March 1 she met a 14-year-old after having given him permission to take time off from classes. She had then collected him from a local restaurant in her grey Kia car.

They then went to the Oriente Motel in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, where the English teacher paid £21 for a room. The teenager said she brought condoms and taught him how to use one.

Although what happened then was consensual, police say that because of his age the boy was not allowed to agree and therefore it was classified as rape. The two had met at the beginning of this school year.

It was gathered that the teacher had reportedly paid extra attention to the 14-year-old. She reportedly gave him a cream against acne and a watch as presents.

A complaint was issued on March 16 and after interviewing the teenager, investigators decided there were valid grounds on which to arrest the teacher.

Veronica Borrero, the local head of the education department, said there were no previous complaints about Ms Flores’ behaviour at work. The school she teaches at has pupils from nursery all the way to ninth grade. Yaira Cotto Flores is currently in custody awaiting trial.

How FG Imposed Illegal Electricity Tariff on Nigerians

A new investigative research has shown that the Federal Government imposed illegal electricity tariff on Nigerians adding to the suffering of the poor masses.

The new increased electricity tariff rolled out on February 1 by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, was illegally imposed on consumers, an icirnigeria.org investigation has shown.

The power regulatory agency commenced with the new tariff, which increased charges for electricity consumption by 55 per cent to 65 per cent, in defiance of the law setting it up.

From all indications, the federal government might be forced to pay back to Nigerians the increased rate they have paid to electricity supply since February 1 when the new tariff regime took effect

Specifically, the announcement of the new tariffs breaches Section 76 sub sections 6, 7 and 9 of the Electric Power Sector Reform Act of 2005.

Section 76 (6) requires the NERC to gazette any review of existing tariff methodology before it comes into effect. The Act states: “Prior to approving a tariff methodology, the Commission shall give notice in the official Gazette, and in one or more newspapers with wide circulation, of the proposed establishment of a tariff methodology, indicating the period within which objections or representations in connection with the same may be made to the Commission.”

By that section, the regulatory agency ought not only to have given notice in a gazette but also in newspapers with wide circulation and even given room for the public to make comments and objections before the new charges could take effect.

In Section 76 (7), the law further reinforces the need for wide consultations before such new tariffs can take effect. Section 76 (7) envisages that in preparing a new tariff methodology, the agency would “(a) consider representations made by license applicants, other licensees, consumers, eligible consumers, consumer associations, associations of eligible consumers and such other persons as it consider necessary or desirable.”

Subsection 7 “(b) evidence, information or advice from any person who, in the Commission’s opinion possesses expert knowledge which is relevant to the preparation of the methodology.”

Furthermore, Section 76 (9) states: “If it appears to the Commission that a tariff methodology should be changed, the Commission shall give notice in the Official Gazette, and in one or more newspapers with wide circulation of the proposal to change the methodology, indicating the period within which representations in connection with the proposal may be made.”

Of all these legal requirements, the only one fully complied with by NERC was that it announced the new tariff in the newspaper. It did not give any notice in a gazette as spelt out by the Act.

Furthermore, from the outcry and opposition which the imposition of the new tariff generated among the general public and stakeholders, including the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria, MAN, and the House of Representatives Committee on Power, which passed a resolution barring NERC from increasing tariff, it is obvious that the agency did not do enough consultations.

The NERC announced the new tariff methodology in December, 2015 with increased charges for electricity consumption, although it removed a controversial monthly fixed charge on retail consumption.

Announcing the new tariff, then chairman of NERC, Sam Amadi, said that the new Multi Year Tariff Order (MYTO) was for a ten year period between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2024. But it effectively took off on February 1, 2016.

With the new tariff, consumers under the residential classification (R2) in Abuja would have to pay N24.30 per kwh instead of 14.70 per kwh for electricity, an increase of N9.60 or 65 per cent, although they would no longer pay the fixed charge of N702.

Customers under Commercial classification (C1) had their tariff increased to N36.65 per kwh from N23.61 per kwh, a difference of N13.04 or 55 per cent.

In the same vein, residential consumers are paying more in Eko (N10), Ikeja (N8), Kaduna (N11.05), Benin (N9.26) and other electricity distribution areas.

Organised Labour kicked against the new tariff regime as soon as it was announced with the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba, saying it is a rip off.

“Congress considers as illegal, unfair, unjustifiable and a further exploitation of the already exploited Nigerians, the 45 per cent increase in electricity,” the labour leader declared, threatening that workers would be called out on a nationwide protest to force a reversal.

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN,  also rejected the new tariffs and said that it would fight it in court.

In fact, MAN President, Peter Udemba Jacob, expressed surprise that NERC went ahead to introduce the new tariff, observing that there is a subsisting court injunction restraining the agency from imposing the tariffs.

The icirnigeria.org learnt that a meeting called by NERC’s acting chairman, Anthony Akah, with the MAN management to explain the new tariffs was rebuffed as members of the organisation insisted that they would not discuss a matter that is before the courts.

When our reporter spoke to MAN’s director of communications, Israel Osadipe, last week Wednesday, he said that the association was still opposed to the tariff and had not changed its position because the case is in court.

He added, however, that members of MAN were having discussions “at an informal level” with stakeholders, including NERC, about the matter.

The House of Representative too stood stoutly in opposition against the new tariffs and passed a resolution directing NERC not to go ahead with the new charges until it concluded investigations into the activities of the commission and distribution companies, Discos.

After the tariffs took effect, the House Committee on Power invited the NERC management to explain why its directives were flouted. It was gathered that the regulatory agency has since explained its stand to the legislative House, telling members that it was doing exactly what the National Assembly set it up to do.

In defence of the NERC, a source told this website that the agency had, indeed done its work which is to send the new tariff regime to the office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice whose responsibility it is to gazette the information.

“NERC has done its bit. When the need for a review exits, we consult with all stakeholders and then come up with new tariffs. We then send the tariff to the Ministry of Justice for them to gazette. We did that since the early in the year,” the source, who does not want to be named, said.

However, the Chief Press Secretary to the Justice minister, Charles Nwodo, said that the impression given by the NERC source was misleading and that it is not the responsibility of the ministry to gazette anything for government agencies.

“The fact is that if they are going to gazette it (the new tariffs), it is the government press that will gazette it. It is the responsibility of the Government Press. The Ministry of Justice is to give approval. The process is that they send their proposal, it is vetted by the Ministry of Justice and sent back to them for onward transmission to the Government Press. It is the Federal Government Press that will gazette it."

Asked if the ministry had received the new tariffs from the NERC for approval before being sent to the Government Press for vetting, Nwodo said he was not aware that any tariffs was sent to the ministry for approval.

He asked for time to find out if the ministry ever received such a request from the electricity regulatory agency but had not done so until the time of going to press.

Wow! Meet the Doctor With No Legs Who Wore Out 24 Stools in 15 Years of Making House Calls (Photos)

A female doctor who has lost both her legs long ago has stunned people with her resilience at helping to treat other people wearing out several wooden stools in the process.

Li Juhong

Despite having had her legs amputated at a very young age, Li Juhong somehow managed to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor.

According to Peoples Daily, the 37-year-old has been treating patients for the past 15 years in her hometown of Wadian village, in southwest China’s Chongqing province.

Li was only four years old when she was involved in a tragic accident – a truck ran over her and her legs were crushed under its tires. The only way to save her life was to amputate them.

But Li, an incredibly resilient child, didn’t lose hope. She was determined to stay mobile and by age eight, she taught herself to move using her hands and two wooden benches for support.

It was undoubtedly difficult, but Li never let her condition dampen her dreams of studying medicine. She left the village to earn a medical degree from a special vocational school, returning in the year 2000 to work at the village clinic. Since then, she’s treated nearly all the 1,000 residents of the village, even managing to make house calls on her unique set of crutches – her trusty old benches.

Li eventually married a local man, Liu Xingyan, who has been extremely supportive of her career. He quit his job to take care of housework, and sometimes also carries her on his back to visit patients in neighboring villages.

It is estimated that with Xing’s help Li has so far handled a total of 6,000 medical cases from various villages in the mountainous regions of Hechuan district. She has worn out 24 benches in the process.

“I just did what I felt I had to do,” she told the local media. “Even if I’m not honored for my work, I would still continue to do my job as a rural doctor. Compared with most others, I’ve come against more difficulties. But, I always whisper to myself that ‘God helps those who help themselves’ in order to keep moving.”

Li’s 12-year-old son looks up to her as a role model, and wants to become a doctor just like her.

Drama as Angry Church Members Demand the Removal of their Pastor Over Affair With a Member's Wife (Photo)

Members of a church who are really angry with their pastor for allegedly having a sexual affair with a church member's wife, have taken drastic steps to have him thrown out.

The angry members of a church in Soweto, South Africa on Good Friday protested, waving placards and calling for the removal of their pastor for allegedly wrecking a family he had counseled.

Ezekiel Letlape ,45 from Dobsonville, Soweto claimed that his wife was cheating on him with the pastor. He even showed the SunTeam the loving SMSes sent by his wife to the pastor. He said he tried to speak to the pastor but didn’t get straight answers.

"Then I took the matter to senior church members and asked for help."

He said the pastor had helped him and his wife in the past. "Whenever there was a misunderstanding between me and my wife he would come and speak to us."

Letlape said he looked on the pastor as his father.

"I didn’t know that he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He has torn my family apart," he said.

When Daily Sun SA spoke to Ezekiel’s wife Sentebaleng Letlape, 42 at their house, she admitted to sending loving SMSes to the pastor but she said she was not sleeping with the pastor.

"I was just flirting with him because I felt lonely and neglected by my husband. The pastor is very nice to everyone," she claimed adding that she and her husband have not slept in the same bed for two years because he was a serial cheater.

"He would sleep out and only come back the next morning. He didn’t want to sleep with me until one day I cheated on him openly to give him a taste of his own medicine."

Ezekiel confirmed that he had cheated on his wife in the past and it was the same pastor who counselled them about it.

When the SunTeam went to his office, the pastor asked not to be photographed and told the church secretary to speak to the paper. She said the pastor could not comment on the allegation against him because the matter was with the presbytery.

Church member Tebogo Sebokwane ,62 vowed there will be no service until the pastor steps down.

"We have evidence of the allegations and it is sad that he is implicated in such damning claims," he said.

Johannes Tlhapi, 56 said they had prepared for Easter prayers but they were disrupted because of a man who wouldn’t simply resign instead of waiting for an investigation.

Have You Ever Seen a Woman With a Beard Before? These Photos of Hairy Women Will Surprise You

Women who have had facial hair for some time and who have hidden that fact from the public for long, have finally begun to come out to show the world how they look with beards on.

Some days after the world famous singer Adele revealed she has a beard that she just cropped out and that she started growing facial hair while pregnant, other brave ladies with the same condition have decided to ditch their insecurities and embrace their facial follicles.

Adele, confessed to gig-goers in Glasgow that she has a beard, she said: “I actually have a beard, but I’m proud of it. I only cropped it last night. I call it Larry.”

Her confession has been applauded by others who have had struggles with their stubble and three women who sport impressive beards came out with their own stories.

In a interview with Diana Appleyard  they revealed more about the condition:

Mariam Mitbart

Mariam Mitbart, from Bath, writes a blog that celebrates female facial hair and has appeared as a bearded lady in a circus. She is single and has a 31-year-old son.

Mariam, 51, says:

I feel more sexy and womanly now. Like Adele, my facial hair began growing after the birth of my son because of the hormones released in pregnancy.

My doctor at the time told me that it happens to a lot of women and that my facial hair would stop growing, but it hasn’t.

At first, I was horrified and I used to pluck the hairs on my chin every day. But after nearly 20 years of doing that my chin was very red and some of the hairs had become in-grown.

I looked as if I had fallen over and landed on my chin. I tried electrolysis three times, but each time the hairs grew back. So eight years ago I decided I’d had enough of continually plucking and let the beard grow.

I started a blog telling other women about my condition. At first, I was scared that no one would talk to me any more, and my mother said to me, “Do you have to shock people like this?”

Sarah Taylor

Admin assistant Sarah Taylor has struggled with facial hair issues since she was 18. She lives in Aylesbury, Bucks, with her fiancé Tom, 26, a builder.

Sarah, 24, says:

I feel like half-man, half-woman, it’s hard. Having facial hair is so difficult as a woman  so thank goodness Adele has approached the subject with such openness. It may seem like a joke to some, but having a superstar speak about having a beard will make a big difference to so many women who beat themselves up about their facial hair. I started growing stubble when I was 18 and it has had a massive impact on my life.

My fiancĂ© is extremely supportive but I always carry a razor in my handbag and, if I feel I look a bit stubbly, I will quickly shave. I normally shave every two or three days, and I have also tried waxing. I’d like to try laser hair removal but I think it would be very expensive.

Like many women with facial hair I have polycystic ovary syndrome, which will also make becoming pregnant difficult if not impossible.

Coming to terms with that was hard enough, but growing facial hair made it ten times worse. At first I had faint stubble, then the problem escalated. Growing a beard made me feel terrible. My friends were very supportive, but I felt so self-conscious about people staring in the street. My little brother, who was only four at the time, said: “Why do you have hair on your face?”

I feel as if I’m half-man, half-woman, which is hard. I smother my top lip and chin with make-up, but still feel people can see the hair. I could bleach it, but it wouldn’t affect the hair growth.

Harnaam Kaur

Harnaam Kaur is a body positivity campaigner from Slough, Berkshire. She had facial hair as a child and was bullied.

Single Harnaam, 25, says:

The joke is now on those cruel bullies. I was just 11 years old when my beard started to grow and the hair quickly spread to my chest and arms. My condition made me the victim of bullies at school and on the streets — I’d be called “beardo”, “shemale” or “sheman”. The taunts were so bad I didn’t want to go out and I used to lock myself away in my bedroom.

I was so depressed about my facial hair I started to self-harm, and there were times when I felt that I could not go on living. I used to try to shave, wax or bleach the hair but that just made it worse. I used to talk to people with my hand over my chin, and I wore baggy clothes to cover up my arms. But when I was 16 I was baptised as a Sikh and, at that point, I decided that I was going to embrace my beard and let it grow with pride.

I had been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, which basically means your hormones go haywire and I had too much testosterone. I feel I have never looked back since that point and the joke is now on the bullies who were so cruel to me, because my beard has given me opportunities I would not otherwise have had. This is the way that God has made me and I am so glad that Adele has treated this issue so openly, with honesty and humour. I feel more feminine and sexy now that I have let my beard grow.

At first my parents were worried for me, thinking that I wouldn’t be able to get a job or ever get married, but now they and my brother are fully supportive.

If people stare at me in the street, I just smile right back at them and if anyone shouts, “Oi, where did you get that beard?” I reply, “Asda.” I’ve recently taken part in a fashion show and I was so proud on the catwalk. I love fashion, dressing up and getting my nails done

2Baba's Baby-mama Speaks on How She Felt the Day the Singer Proposed to Annie

Sumbo, mother of 2Baba's two kids has opened up after staying silent for many years on what she passed through when the legendary singer proposed to Annie instead of her.

Sumbo Adeoye, mother of 2Baba's two kids has spoken up about how she felt when the story broke that the legendary singer proposed to Annie Idibia.

In a video of a program for single parents, organized by Sumbo Adeoye and her husband, Pastor Adeoye of the Royalty Christian Centre, while admonishing attendees not to be desperate, Sumbo, who waited 8 years before she got married, said:

“I remember the day when my baby daddy proposed to his girlfriend, I was on the list of those that will take praise in church for that Wednesday. Well I had known what was going on but it didn’t affect me because I had known what I want, so I had let go of that choice for God’s will for me.

"So I came to church, I was leading the Praise session and everyone was just looking at me with pity eyes like ‘omo yi o mo nkan ti on sele (this girl doesn’t know what’s going on o)’. After service, one sister even came to me and said It is well and in my mind, I am like what happened, did somebody die.

"The person felt I was faking that I wasn’t hurt by the proposal but she and the others didn’t know I had been healed by God for my own expected end. So don’t be desperate. That bobo that you are killing yourself over and putting yourself in strategic places over, may not be God’s choice for you, but if he is God’s choice for you, like Mary’s spouse, Joseph in the Bible, God will fix it."

Concluding the message, her husband, Pastor David Adeoye, said: “I have the happiest marriage on earth today because I love my wife and our sons. Don’t hide your child from your spouse. If they can’t love your child with you, then they don’t deserve you."

Sumbo is the mother of 2Baba's eldest child and she is the mother of two of the pop star's seven children.

Be Ready for Hotter Days, Warm Nights and Heat Waves - NIMET Issues Strong Warning to Nigerians

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has issued a serious warning to Nigerians to brace up to face meaner days of heat.

With the global average air temperature of the earth hitting 1°C hotter than it was at the start of the twentieth century, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has warned Nigerians to brace up for more hot days, warm nights and heat waves.

In a statement signed by the Head of its Public Relations Unit, Eva Azinge, NIMET noted that with the long residence of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the current warming would continue beyond 2100, even when the emission of greenhouse gases is reduced.

The statement said, “We must therefore prepare for a future with more hot days, warm nights and heat waves because of past and present emissions. This preparation will require smart adaptation strategies and engaging in climate resilient practices to cope with the damage that has been done.”
