First Son of Dubai Ruler Dies of Heart Attack at 34

The son of Dubai's ruler has died of a heart attack at the age of 33, the United Arab Emirates state news agency WAM said.

Sheikh Rashid, a 34-year-old eldest son of the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, suffered a heart attack on Saturday morning, the agency said.

He wasn't the heir apparent to the throne though, his younger, Sheikh Hamdan, is.

Dubai announced three days of mourning after the sheikh's death. During the three days of mourning, UAE flags will be flown at half mast, Al Arabiya reported. Sheikh Rashid, was a keen horse lover and was the owner of Zabeel Stables.

Al Maktoum's funeral will be held Saturday, the start of a three-day mourning period in Dubai.

A devoted elderly couple suffocated each other to death in a freak accident after both of them fell down the stairs and ended up unable to breathe.

John Wood, 67, and his long-time girlfriend, Mary Murphy, 66, were found lifeless in Miss Murphy's home in Failsworth, Greater Manchester, after celebrating her birthday.

 

The two had returned to Miss Murphy's home after a visit to a nearby village - her birthday treat - and are thought to have both fallen within minutes of each other at around 4am.

An inquest into the deaths heard that Mr Wood, a retired maintenance worker, fell over while trying to help Miss Murphy, a former civil servant, to bed. First he fell down the stairs and his head became jammed under a radiator. Then she tried to treat him only to fall and collapse on top of him.

The two ended up in a position which left both of them unable to breathe, then choked to death.

Heywood Coroner's Court was told that the two, who had been engaged for 43 years but never married, had been drinking earlier that day in Stalybridge before the fall. They were discovered the next day by a concerned friend who went into Miss Murphy's house.

According to an exclusive report, there is a cold war within President Buhari’s adhoc cabinet as close sources to the presidency say that a rift of power exists between an elected member of Buhari’s cabinet and an unofficial member.

The sources specifically revealed that the unhealthy power tussle is between Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and an unofficial one, in the person of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state.

According to The Breaking Times, Osinbanjo and El-Rufai got to logger heads, when the governor insulted the vice president at a meeting at the presidential villa, Aso Rock, and in a reaction to the insult, Osinbajo rebuked El-Rufai and walked out of the meeting, which President Buhari was presiding.

There are speculations that El-Rufai is widely regarded as the unofficial vice president in the Buhari administration. Anonymous sources within the Buhari administration told reporters that Buhari prefers to have 'a fellow Northerner' as his right-hand man.

The sources allege that Buhari did the same as the military head of state, adding that the president is uneasy with Prof Osinbajo who has been tagged 'Tinubu’s boy'. They claim that if it were in the powers of the president to appoint a vice, then certainly he would not have picked the professor as his running mate.

"The President, clearly, prefers and places more trust on El-Rufai as far as matters of governance are concerned. El-Rufai has played a key role in some of the president’s appointments. He nominated Amina Bala Zakari for appointment as the acting INEC chairman, forcing Buhari to go against Jega’s earlier decision and planted his chief of staff, who is also the founder of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign, Hadiza Bala Usman inside President Buhari’s recently constituted anti-corruption advisory committee," a close source said.

Various online reports and speculations states that VP Osinbajo is not regarded by El-Rufai and many other northerners within Buhari’s adhoc cabinet. They believe that the vice president is 'just a puppet in Tinubu’s hands'.

A source that spoke to The Breaking Times says that an incident which took place few weeks ago buttress the fact that the VP is looked down upon within the administration.

The source revealed that at a meeting in Aso Rock, Governor El-Rufai, in disagreeing with Osinbajo’s notion, raised his voice and insulted the VP. Osinbajo reportedly got upset, told El-Rufai off and told the president:

"I am an elected Vice President of this country, I will not sit here while an ordinary governor insults me in your presence. I deserve some respect." Having said that, Osinbajo, allegedly stormed out of the meeting in rage, leaving Buhari and others present shocked.

The Kaduna governor reportedly condemned the behaviour of the vice president, demanded that Buhari did something about the disrespectful act.

However, the president in his gracefulness is said to have reacted calmly as to still the brewing tension. The source said there were emissaries sent to appease Osinbajo, but the VP would not return to the meeting unless El-Rufai rendered an apology.

As of the time of filing this report, there is still no information on the reconciliation between the two.

Obasanjo, Tinubu Clash Over Ministerial Nominee – New Telegraph

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and erstwhile Lagos State Governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, are locked in a war of attrition over the formation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet. Already, former Lagos State Commissioner for Finance and a nominee of Tinubu into the cabinet, Mr. Wale Edun, has become the first casualty of the ego war.
Sources told New Telegraph that Edun, who Tinubu had recommended to Buhari to be Minister of Finance, has been dropped despite being screened by the Department of State Services (DSS). He is to be replaced by former Lagos State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Yemi Cardoso, as a Lagos representative in the cabinet.
Cardoso is the chairman, Citibank Nigeria Limited. In preparation for the coveted seat, Edun had led the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegation to Washington to attend the spring meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in April.
Edun’s problem started when a group of influential Lagos indigenes, including traditional rulers and some of his colleagues that served in the Tinubu administration, kicked against his choice as a Lagos State ministerial nominee. The opposition informed the decision of Tinubu to ensure Edun becomes Ogun State nominee. But Obasanjo and the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, also kicked.
A source informed New Telegraph that Obasanjo called Tinubu and advised him to desist from pushing Edun as Ogun State nominee. He was said to have warned that Ogun people would not allow Tinubu to fill the slot of the state with somebody whose work and career were rooted in Lagos State.
The former president reportedly cited the example of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, from Ogun State, whom Tinubu nominated as vicepresident, adding that he considered Osinbajo to be more of a Lagosian than an indigene of Ogun State.
It was learnt that Obasanjo and Amosun have agreed to give the state’s slot in the cabinet to a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Auditor, Chief Bode Mustapha. Sources said the two recent visits of Obasanjo to Buhari in Abuja was first to submit his ministerial list and for further consultations.
A source in the presidency told New Telegraph that Obasanjo’s nominees include: former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Osun); former Governor of Ekiti State and now the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the APC, Chief Segun Oni (Ekiti); Mustapha (Ogun); former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili and erstwhile Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
The source added that the submission of the ministerial list by Obasanjo to the president informed the September 9 visit of Tinubu and former Interim National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, to Buhari, 24 hours after the former president visited. “Tinubu and Akande’s visit to President Buhari on September 9 was an impromptu meeting. An influential official in the presidency told them of Obasanjo’s surreptitious moves to corner the ministerial nominees from the South-West.
This is why the two leaders visited,” the source said. At the meeting with Buhari, Tinubu and Akande reportedly told the president that South-West APC leaders would not accept a situation where Obasanjo would determine those who become ministers.
It was learnt that Tinubu and Akande did not oppose the choice of Oyinlola as a minister representing Osun State. “It was a moral issue. Obasanjo is not a member of the APC and cannot appropriate the positions of the zone to himself. The South-West leaders have been meeting for two months on the ministerial nominee, only for Obasanjo to sit in Ota and draw up a ministerial list. That is why the leaders kicked against the idea. “That will be killing the party in the South-West.
He can’t be an alternate APC. Obasanjo should be respected as a leader, but he can’t hijack what belongs to the region. “On Obasanjo’s ministerial list, former Governor Oyinlola featured just as his name featured from the list submitted from the state.
There was no resistance to Oyinlola’s nominee because that was part of the agreement before his defection from the PDP to the APC. The party has fulfilled one leg of the agreement by ceding the senatorial slot to Senator Isiaka Adeleke who also defected from PDP to the APC,” an influential member of the APC said. The source added that based on Tinubu’s complaint, Buhari reportedly promised to look into the issue.
As it is, Obasanjo has been given two ministerial slots of Ogun and Osun – Mustapha and Oyinlola – while Tinubu and South- West leaders would fill the four other slots remaining in the geopolitical zone.
One of sources said Buhari, who had promised to constitute his cabinet by September 30, would submit the ministerial list to the National Assembly next week either before his trip to New York on Tuesday to attend the United Nations conference, or on his return from the trip. In addition, it was learnt that the DSS had screened ministerial nominees and forwarded its report to the president.
Those who failed the integrity test had been replaced. It was learnt that Buhari had settled for former Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, as the nominee from the state; notwithstanding the opposition against his candidacy from top officials of the PDP government in the state. Amaechi, who was the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, lost out in the bid for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). One of the sources also said a former Governor of old Abia State, Dr. Ogbannaya Onu, had been asked to choose between being a minister and getting an ambassadorial posting. The source said Onu, who also lost out in the SGF race, had settled for the Ebonyi ministerial slot. Former presidential candidate and renowned economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, is the likely nominee of Delta State.
A group of professionals of which Vice-President Osinbajo belongs, is rooting for Utomi. Former Governor of Kano State and now a senator, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, is likely going to make the ministerial list. Kwankwaso, who was Minister of Defence in the Obasanjo administration, may retain the position in the Buhari cabinet.
Although, a former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Abdurahman Dambazzau, who is being touted as the next Minister of Defence, has been screened, one of the sources said he might be given another portfolio.
“The president is considering having a civilian as his Minister of Defence. The basis for this is that there is always a friction between the service chiefs and the minister of defence with a military background. Don’t forget that the president is a retired general. So, if Kwankwaso makes it to the cabinet, he may end up as defence minister having held the portfolio before,” the source said.
In Edo State, either former Executive Chairman, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mrs. Ifueko Omogui-Okauru or erstwhile Special Adviser to Obasanjo on Programme and Policy Monitoring, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, may get the state’s slot. Omogui-Okauru, who stepped down as FIRS chairman in April 2012, was recently appointed by the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El- Rufai, to head the Kaduna State Tax Reform Committee. Ihonvbere is the Secretary to the Edo State Government (SSG) and believed to be the nominee of Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
New Telegraph learnt that the only name submitted for consideration as minister for Kwara State is that of Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, an ally of the Senate President Bukola Saraki. Abdullahi served as Minister of Sports in the Goodluck Jonathan administration and was the Deputy Director, Directorate of Policy and Strategy of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation. It is not clear if President Buhari will accept Abdullahi’s candidacy. If he does, then the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, may end up as Special Adviser to the President on Aviation.
But if the president rejects Abdullahi, then a technocrat or Mohammed may fill the Kwara ministerial slot.
In Ekiti, the hope of former Governors Niyi Adebayo, Segun Oni and Kayode Fayemi was dashed by the choice of human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN). Vice-President Osinbajo was said to have, in conjunction with Tinubu, pushed for his candidacy as the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. It was learnt that General Adeyinka Adebayo (rtd) lobbied retired Generals to have his son, Niyi, as Ekiti nominee.
New Telegraph reliably learnt that the APC South- West leaders have agreed that the ambassadorial slot for Ekiti is reserved for Fayemi. In Adamawa, Boss Gida Mustapha, a lawyer, has been tipped by the president as minister. Mustapha lost the APC governorship ticket to Senator Bindow Jibrilla, now governor.
He was a member of the Ahmed Joda-led transition committee set up by the president. He is a former Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). Alhaji Abubakar Malami (SAN), a member of the Ahmed Joda transition committee, has been tapped for the Kebbi ministerial slot. He was with Buhari in the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) where he served as National Legal Adviser.

Lagos Government To Buy New Helicopter

Governor A. Ambode of Lagos State is planning to buy a new helicopter for the state.
Lagos State currently has two Bell 412 helicopters, with each costing $6.7m (N1.319bn), according to aircraftcompare.com estimates.
The purchase of the new helicopter and other security gadget was pegged at N5.3bn in the budget re-ordering letter sent to the House of Assembly for approval.
The Assembly on Tuesday had set up a committee to review the request and report back to the House in a week’s time.
In the letter sighted on Wednesday, the governor had asked the Assembly to approve N23.975bn re-ordering of the 2015 budget in order to meet up expenditure on capital projects.
Ambode said approving the re-ordering of the budget would enable the government to construct a pedestrian bridge at Ojodu Berger, start the construction of fly-over bridges at Ajah Roundabout and Pen Cinema, Agege, among others.
In the 2015 budget, the initial vote for security intervention was N1.5bn, but the governor is seeking the House’s approval for additional N3.8bn, making it N5.3bn to accommodate the purchase of the helicopter, among other “security interventions”.
Other re-ordering by the governor include the increment of the N55.75bn for the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to N59.23bn.
The governor also earmarked N1.077 bn for the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure for the completion of ongoing projects of the defunct Ministry of Rural Development.

Buhari answered:
It was not the same place. The last time I was there, I was in the barracks. This time I am in a palace. At times, I can’t find my way around. It is so big so much that it must be expensive to maintain. But it is there, it cannot be removed.”
Asked whether he is now a different man, he answered:
“I don’t think basically, I am a different man. I came back to power under a different system.”
Buhari moved into the Villa on 21 June, more than three weeks after he was sworn-in.His predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, had approved some renovation work on the Villa, which stretched far beyond his tenure.

I Can’t See Anything, I Can’t Read, Graduate Tells Akwa Ibom Tribunal

A mild drama occurred at the Akwa Ibom National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday in Abuja when one of the witnesses of former governor Godswill Akpabio, Mr. Stanley Annah from Ikot Ekpene dramatically pretended to be blind when given the card reader report to state the total number of accredited voters for Ikot Ekpene .
Mr Annah who told the tribunal that elections held in all the polling units of the council suddenly pretended to be blind and mute when told to read out the total number of accredited voters for Ikot Ekpene on exhibit P19.

“I can’t see anything, I can’t read,” he said. When asked if truly he is a graduate of agriculture as he claimed, he said yes but still can’t read the figures in the document. He also claimed he had no idea of the number of polling units in Ikot Ekpene.

After minutes of vain attempt to evade the question, he reluctantly read out 22,761 as the total number of accredited voters for Ikot Ekpene. He had also earlier declared he can’t see nor read the total number of votes cast in the Local Government.
Before exiting the witness box, counsel to the 1st Respondent, Offiong Offiong SAN, asked the court to protect witnesses from vigorous cross examination from the petitioners counsel, Chief Assam Assam SAN. Responding the tribunal chairman said while the court cannot force a witness to answer a question ,there are legally bound to answer questions posed to them at cross examination while the tribunal will take note of witnesses who claim in their statement on oath that they are graduates but pretend they can’t read when inside the witness box.
Also testifying, Hon Uyoata Essien from Etim Ekpo said elections held in his area in a free and fair manner. He was given the card reader report of his unit which stood at 485 for polling unit Nkwot Ikot Eboh but when given the result sheet he signed as PDP agent, he admitted that though his signature is the one on the document, he can’t confirm if actually the 772 declared as total number of accredited voters was true or not.
Another witness, Obonoh Friday Frank from Oruk Anam said elections were free and fair. He was then shown the card reader accreditation to state the number of accredited voters in his unit. The card reader showed that successful accreditation was 147 while failed accreditation was 53 but a final result of 400 was declared with PDP scoring 398.
The last witness for the day was Francis Idungafa , a former PDP chairman from Ika. He admitted that in his polling unit, Primary School Nto Udo Enwan had the result mutilated and inflated. He told the tribunal that total number of accredited voters was cancelled from 530 to 650 while total valid votes cast was also cancelled and inflated from 402 to 648 even though the card reader report showed that the unit had 155 successful accreditation and 137 failed accreditation ,totalling 292 accredited voters. The petition was adjourned to Thursday, September 17,2015 for continuation of hearing.

Indian Cops Arrest Nigerian Involved in Mango Seed Fraud

An unscrupulous Nigerian has been nabbed by Indian security operatives who specializes in scamming people under the guise of selling obesity-reducing mango seeds.

A couple helped the Ranchi police nab a Nigerian, who duped people across the country, including some businessmen to the tune of over Rs 150 crore in the name of purchasing obesity-reducing mango seeds, at the RGI Airport on Tuesday.

Police arrested John Emma alias Gurr Paul from Nigeria. Emma, who landed at the RGI Airport in Hyderabad from Mumbai on Monday night to meet a prospective victim, was nabbed by the special team of Ranchi police.

According sources, Emma, who poses as Gurr Paul, purchasing manager of Dynamic Pharmaceutical Limited, UK, had lured several victims across the country by offering to purchase African bush mango, 'Irvingia gebonisis', seeds at a mind-boggling price.

Police said Emma or his associates target potential victims on Facebook by chatting with them as a representative of Dynamic Pharmaceutical Ltd. If the victim is a male, the fraudsters chat as a female and vice versa. Two months ago, a government employee, Ramu from LB Nagar, and his wife, SP Mamata, an advocate practicing cyber law, came in contact with one Elizabeth Perry of Dynamic Pharmaceuticals on Facebook. Perry told them that her company procures 400 grams of Irvingia gabonensis (bush mango seeds) from India for $5,000. She also informed Ramu and Mamata that the seeds were available for sale in India at $2,000 per 400 grams.

 

Background checks by the interested buyer on the internet later exposed the wailing of other scam victims. This led to the invitation of the police during which the suspect was nabbed by a secret arrangement involving the police and the buyer which he unknowingly walked into.

Osinbajo Discloses Buhari's Latest Plan on National Budget...See Details

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, in Abuja on Tuesday has revealed the budding plans of the Federal government regarding the budget in 2016.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has disclosed in Abuja on Tuesday that the federal government was planning to use a zero-based budgeting format for its 2016 budget planning. He made this known during a courtesy call on him by the National Economic Summit Group (NESG) at the presidential villa.

He said the new system would be properly coordinated to ensure that it was policy-driven, especially the proposed social intervention policy of the president Muhammdu Buhari’s administration. Zero-based budgeting entails careful planning anchored on the needs and costs.

It is different from the current Envelope Budgeting or traditionally incremental budgeting whereby the planning is based on existing income and expenditure as the deciding factor in national financial planning levels, which often incurs waste and assumes previous costs as constant.

Disclosing that Buhari’s administration was articulating a four-year action plan that would guide it, Osinbajo stated that the “zero-based budgeting, (2016 budget) the Federal Government will also focus on a bottom-up approach to development.”

He further disclosed that the Federal Government is planning to set up an infrastructure fund in order to facilitate easy funding for critical areas of the economy.

The infrastructure fund, according to the Vice President, would be planned outside of the budget, to handle major segments of the economy such as road and power.

“Government is working out a document that would guide the administration within the four years of its life-span”, he said.

Woman Accidentally 'Castrates' Boyfriend During Disagreement (Photo)

A woman is currently standing trial in court over her action of biting the testicles of her boyfriend in the course of a physical assault which led to a permanent damage.

According to Dailymail, a woman has been charged to court for biting her lover's testicles leading to a permanent damage after a couple of stitches. This was caused by a misunderstanding between the couple.

Police in North Carolina's Onslow County said Martinne Delavega, 51, bit down so hard on the man's scrotum during what has been described as a domestic dispute by investigators that it has caused permanent damage.

After being arrested by police, a mugshot shows Delavega with blood on her shirt and a bandage around her head, reports WCNC.

Police said the incident happened last Wednesday and she has been now been charged with malicious castration. However, appearing in court, she told the judge that it was all a misunderstanding.

During the alleged castration, police deputies say the man assaulted Delavega, who they say is his girlfriend. She was injured by the assault and needed treatment. The suspect was photographed with what appears to be a bandage on her head shortly afterwards.

A friend of the woman said she was shocked by her actions.

"I've known her half of my life. She's a great person and mother and this is totally out of character. There has to be something else going on," family friend, Zach Walter said.

Delavega was released on a $10,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court again in October.

A man in South Africa was this morning stoned and burnt to death for allegedly raping and murdering a teenage boy on Tuesday.

 

A man accused of raping and murdering a 15 year old boy was caught this morning, stoned and burnt to death by a mob of angry residents, Eye Witness News reports.

 

The 15-year-old boy was raped and murdered in Masiphumelele, near Fish Hoek, South Africa on Tuesday, September 15. 

 

The scene was littered with bricks, a burnt tyre and fresh pool of blood. The man's charred remains has since been removed by the Police.

Pastor Finds 19-year-old Python Living in His Roof For Over 10 Years (Photos)

Senior Pastor of the MegaFaith Ministries in Cross River State, Rev Tony has recounted his experience with a 19-year old snake that lived in the roof of his house for a period of 10-years.

Senior Pastor of the Mega Faith Ministries, in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, Rev Tony is said to have seen numerous miracles in his life and undeniably, the Almighty God has used him to do the extraordinary even for others.

All the same, the messenger of the Most High did not plan for the unusual that he witnessed, last weekend, at his 10 Ekpiken Close home.

Unknown to the pastor, a 19-year-old python, measuring 20-metre, supposedly feeding on dogs, fowls, rats and lizards for ages, had been a co-dweller with him and his children in the same apartment for about a decade. The moment he stepped out on the revelation day, the ravenous python from its hideaway in the roof, decided it was time to materialize and use one of the children for its next meal.

Amba’s words, “Everything that happened that day was nothing less than a miracle. What if this beast had injured anyone, they would have said a lot of things about me and the ministry, I cannot thank God enough for what he did for my family and me because I have been living in that house for about a decade. Only God knows how long the snake came into that place.’’

 

“Two of my children were home alone when they saw that a something like a machete was piercing through the ceiling so they ran out of the house. Fortunately, one of our members was coming to the house at that time, and he is the one, who inquired from them what the matter was and they told him what they noticed in the ceiling.”

“In trying to find out if there was someone with a machete in the ceiling because the opening made was quite obvious, they set up a form of ladder to climb and look into the place, but saw something that looked like a tyre, but they discovered it was shining. They decided to use a bigger torch light, what they saw was a python and they were shocked,”

 

The mysterious snake

 

The man of God was contacted which prompted him to call the police due to the size of the snake. The policemen arrived at the scene and refused to kill the snake considering the way the snake made into the ceiling and how it lived. They had a feeling it could turn into a human being after being killed. The man of God was later advised to contact some Hausa snake charmers from Bogobiri. The snake charmers numbering 4 decided to kill the snake for N60,000 considering the size of the animal. Their price was later beaten down to N20,000.

 

After payment was made, they attempted to kill the animal but on entering the roof, the snake disappeared. This caused them to begin to break the ceiling till the snake fell out and started attacking them despite the charms they possessed to command the respect of snakes. The snake was eventually killed by the charmers. The charmers confessed the snake was strange.

 

One of them named Mallam Rabiu said: “The snake don live there for a very long time don live there for up to 10 years and when we kill am. I discover from the counting say the snake don live up to 19 years. There is a way we dey take count the mark wey dey the belle to know how long the snake don live.”

“The snake enter there when e still dey small , na for there wey the snake stay grow because we see different kind of fowl , rat ,lizard and dog bones, that na wetin we see for inside that ceiling be that.”

He, however, said that the snake did not look ordinary because it almost disappeared while they were trying to kill it after they had finished negotiating with the pastor, who called them to come and kill it.

He said: “When we come inside the ceiling the second time, we did not see the snake again. We come begin break the ceiling before the thing come fall down.

“With the kind things wey dey our body, the snake no suppose attack us. I surprise when e begin open mouth to bite us.” 

 

Area boys however took the snake from the Hausa snake charmers for nutritional purposes

Following a few seconds dizzy spell, BMW Chief executive, Harald Krueger, fainted on stage during a Press Conference for the unveiling of a new hybrid yesterday.

 

BMW Chief executive, Harald Krueger, fainted just five minutes into his press conference on Tuesday morning September 15, at the Frankfurt auto show where he was to present the car giant's new electric hybrid. 

 

Krueger staggered backwards slightly before falling over. He looked stunned as he lay on the ground holding his head with his hands.

 

The show's commentator said to the crowd: 'I'm a bit lost for words. BMW will try to redo the press conference at a later stage.'

 

Krueger was helped from the stage by two assistants and seen by a doctor, following his 'moment of dizziness'. It is understood that Mr Krueger was feeling unwell before taking to the stage.

A Nigerian Muslim was stunned when a scan on his belly proved there was a metal inside of him which later appeared as a big surgical scissors.

A Nigerian Muslim man arriving in Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj (pilgrimage) next week got the shock of his life when he was told there is a big scissors inside his belly.

According to Emirates247, the man was going through the metal detecting machine at the airport in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah when it bleeped. He was told by the police to get back, get rid of all metal items and go through the machine again. But the system never stopped screaming.

“He was taken for a scan at the hospital and the big surprise was that it showed there is a big scissors inside his abdomen,” the Saudi daily 'Al Wata'n said.

“When he was told about it, the pilgrim got a shock. He said that he underwent a surgery nearly 15 years ago but never had any pain,” the paper added, without making clear if the pilgrim was allowed into the Gulf Kingdom.
