Brave Man Fights off Bear Attack by Shoving Arm Down its Throat (Photo)

Brave man fought off a bear attack by shoving his arm down its throat, a technique he learnt from his grandmother.

A brave Charlse Dellwo, 26 from Montana survived a grizzly bear attack by shoving his arm down the animal's throat. The impossible act saved his life from the deadly animal.

Dellwo was hunting with his brother in the town of Choteau when he came face-to-face with an almost 400-pound male grizzly bear. The bear knocked him off his feet and bit his head. Then it bit Dellwo's leg before flinging him to the air. It advanced towards Dellwo to attack him more; that was when he remembered his grandma's advice.

Dellwo said: "I remembered an article that my grandmother gave me a long time ago that said large animals have bad gag reflexes,"  he continued "So I shoved my right arm down his throat."

After that, the bear left Dellwo as he writ in pain. He later joined his brother who drove him to the hospital. He got treated and received stitches and staples in his head, some on his face, a swollen eye and deep puncture wounds on his leg.

Dellwo was grateful he escaped the attack.
