The royal couple on their big day
On Sunday, the ancient city of Ile-Ife in Osun state, witnessed an influx of dignitaries who came for the thanksgiving ceremony of the traditional wedding of Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Olori Wuraola.
It was a gathering of who is who at the royal court, Ile-Odua palace, where family, friends and well wishers were present to add glitz and glamour to the traditional and social events.
The union between the Ooni of Ife and Olori Wuraola, which took place in Benin City on Saturday was described as a consolidation of the age-long connection between the Yorubas and the people of Benin of Edo State.
Some of the notable Nigerians at the event include; Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, deputy governor of Osun State, Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tomori, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, Oba Elegushi, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, traditional rulers from across the South-west states and the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli and many more.
