President Buhari, has dissolved and approved the appointment of a new Executive Management Team AMCON.
President Muhammadu Buhari has dissolved the Management Team of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON). The president has also approved the appointment of a new Executive Management Team of the AMCON. The approval followed the dissolution of the old management team earlier on Tuesday.
In a statement by the presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, a list contained the names of the newly appointed members of the team.
1. Mr Ahmed Lawan Kuru was appointed as the Managing Director.
2. Kola Ayeye, Eberechukwu Uneze and Aminu Ismail were named as Executive Directors.
Until his appointment, as the Managing Director of AMCON, Mr Kuru was the Group Managing Director of Enterprise Bank Limited.
He started his banking career with the old Habib Bank in 1985 and rose through the ranks to become an Executive Director of Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank) in 2005.
The appointment of Mr Kuru and the three new AMCON Executive Directors is with effect from August 18, 2015.
