Ministers No Longer Allowed to Award Contracts – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari in an interview in US said he’s taken steps to ensure ministers will be stripped of the power to award contracts to contractors.

“I have already acted to remove political control over awarding of contracts away from ministers who use them to get political favours and kickbacks,” he said.

He also announced the introduction of a new system of plea bargaining to encourage looters of the government money and oil thieves to return the people’s stolen commonwealth.
